As a member of our sales team, you would have the opportunity to develop your own book of business by bringing in new customers to drive revenue while maintaining relationships with current ones.   • Build long lasting relationships with customers in your book of business, and Ahern staff
  • Forecast sales, develop “out of the box” sales strategies and evaluate their effectiveness
  • Meet/Exceed personal and team sales goals
  • Entertain customers after hours
  • Manage all aspects of a book of business
  • Identify and grow new business
  • Sell products from the Ahern family of companies (Snorkel, Xtreme, Cubes, etc…)
  • Constantly strive for personal and professional improvement


  • Be on a jobsite at 6:30am
  • Must be people oriented, focused, sales driven, and a team player
  • Have and develop a plan to achieve the required number of sales calls per day, with the ability to organize and prioritize your own work schedule
  • Attend weekly sales meetings, prepared to discuss customers and jobsites
  • Organize and attend after hours entertainment
  • Manage your book of business
  • Manage an AOR “Area of Responsibility”; an assigned area where you will track, document current projects, and share this information with your team.

Job Description:

  1. Grow & Manage a Book of Business

1) Prospect and lead generation

2) Planning and scheduling your day/week/month

3) Cold calling customers

4) Qualify and determine “why customers buy?”

5) Develop sales strategies and communicate with internal team

6) Close new accounts

7) Maintain customer relationships: pricing, collections, provide job lists, after hours entertainment, trade association events, etc…

  1. Managing an “Area of Responsibility.” (AOR)
  2. Be aware of all existing and upcoming work
  3. Complete and share a job card on all Jobs in your AOR
  4. Assist other reps in capturing revenue


  1. 2- years of consistent construction related sales experience.
  2. Proven time management skills
  3. Proven ability to prospect for new customers
  4. Experience in a leadership role (On a project or as profession).
  5. Proven ability to acquire new customers


  1. Excellent Communication Skills
  2. Must have a valid driver’s license and provide a DOL driving record (Abstract)
  3. Must be able to pass a drug test within 30 days of employment
  4. Basic computer skills must be proficient with Microsoft Office
