Ahern Rentals is looking for a Sourcing Agent for our Las Vegas office to create and monitor purchase orders, contracts, forecasts and supplier interactions with the Purchasing department and other company departments. This position requires a positive attitude, fast paced personality, serious work ethic, excellent communication skills both written and verbally.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of increasingly responsible purchasing experience involving major aspects of purchasing functions including strong negotiation skills and strong parts operations/inventory management knowledge
  • Equivalent to an Undergraduate Degree in Purchasing, marketing, accounting, business or other appropriate field
  • Construction Equipment parts back round
  • Knowledge of purchasing techniques and the ability to understand complex reports, purchase orders and invoices
  • Experience with P&L, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Must have a high attention to detail, and the ability to understand complex reports, purchase orders, and invoices
  • Strong computer skills experience in AS400 Rental-man preferred
  • Must be a team player with strong time management and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Detail oriented and able to prioritize and perform a variety of tasks with varying levels of responsibilities while meeting deadlines
  • Flexibility to work in a constantly growing and changing industry
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English
  • Must be able to pass drug test and background check
  • Must be able to provide Motor Vehicle Record at time of job offer (current within 15 days)

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review, access, qualify and communicate requirements to company suppliers
  • Confirm accuracy of orders. Ensure that suppliers deliver on time and resolve issues with suppliers when shipments are late, when purchase orders are received w/damaged or missing items or other problems
  • Works with Accounting Department to ensure accuracy with invoices and payments to suppliers
  • Manage parts ordering from manufacturers and communicating with vendors for special purchases and expediting back orders
  • Maintain accurate purchasing documents and vendor records
  • Maintain current customer base by coordinating with Product Support Sales Representatives and knowledgeable staff to provide a reliable parts supply to the customer
