Ahern Rentals is hiring a Warehouse Clerk! The qualified candidate must have good customer service skills to receive a high volume of phone calls and must be personable. Also, must be capable of multi-tasking. This position requires the candidate to take a hands-on role in assisting the customers.This position will work closely with the customer service team as a support liaison in the warehouse.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

· Receive inbound products via freight and small parcel; verify package count and place into appropriate bin location

· Review paperwork, count, verify product before receiving into inventory

· Make sure all parts are properly marked and identified

· Inventory control duties

· Cycle counting and maintaining inventory integrity

· Pull parts out of bins and or storage containers in a timely manner, to fill orders

· Help maintain, clean, and organize the warehouse inside and out

· Load and unload LTL trucks using warehouse forklifts, inspect the freight for obvious damages and have knowledge of BOL’s

· Must be able to prioritize and perform a variety of tasks with varying levels of responsibilities while meeting deadlines

· Fabricate parts; light assembly and paint may be required on some assemblies

· Verify incoming packages for pending orders

· Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in the warehouse (FIFO)

· Receiving part(s) from purchase orders accurately

· Examine and inspect stock items for wear and defects, reporting any damage to purchasing

· Create new bin locations as required (as authorized)

· Working with Auditors

· Advise of any count discrepancies

· Flexibility to work in a constantly growing and changing industry

· Look for ways to improve processes and procedures

· Help implement improvement processes to prevent discrepancies

· Other duties as assigned by Management


· 1 year previous shipping/receiving experience

· Must be able to lift at least 70 lbs.

· Must be able to pay attention to detail and have excellent judgment skills to utilize when packaging i.e. correct size shipping box, foam packs, box integrity

· Experience with International shipping

· Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook required

· Experience with RentalMan a plus

· Preferred UPS Worldship, FedEx, and DHL software knowledge

· Basic computer skills preferred

· General warehousing skills preferred

· APICS member and cert. is a plus

· Forklift cert. is a plus

· Must be able to read, write, and speak English

· Must be able to pass a drug test and background check

· Must be able to provide Motor Vehicle Record at time of job offer (current within 15 days)
