Summary of Functions: A sales administrative assistant’s primary job function is to support the sales team and assist them in their day-to-day responsibilities to allow them to focus on value added activities. Employees of this position must be able to follow directions, communicate correct information with the outside sales representatives, and enter information electronically, utilizing their knowledge in Microsoft Office applications. This is a non-exempt level position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: May or may not include: • Organizing documents • Answering telephones • Data entry • Communicate with sales team on daily basis • Will be responsible for providing administrative support for the sales team • Other duties or tasks may be assigned on an as-needed basis Organizational Relationships: Reports directly to the Sales Manager. Assists and coordinates with sales representatives to provide proper administrative support. Qualifications: • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications • Must have strong phone communication skills • Must possess strong organizational skills • Must have a team-oriented attitude • Must be able to multi-task and be productive in a fast pace environment • Must be able to read, write, and speak English • Previous sales experience is beneficial • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Physical Demands: It will be a necessity to use computers, keyboards, multi-line telephones, e-mail and other technology extensively in daily responsibilities. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 10 pounds.
