Ahern Rentals is looking for an Inside Sales Counter Person to serve as a liaison between Outside Sales Representatives and customers. You will serve as a key customer contact and consultant at the branch recommending solutions to the customer, quoting, selling and fulfilling orders for our equipment and services based on their needs. An associate in this position must have knowledge of construction equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, lawnmowers, power washers, etc. is required. Up selling, probing, talent to build customer relationships, understanding various Industrial Markets, convention expertise, and clerical skills are necessary to perform this job.

Qualifications for Inside Sales Counter Person:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills and self-motivated
  • Proven planning, problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be a team player with strong time management skills and attention to detail
  • Ideally, proven presentation skills and a sales orientation
  • Call center or rental counter experience preferred

 

Responsibilities for Inside Sales Counter Person include but not limited to:

 

Inside Sales Support

  • Provide exceptional customer support via phone and email.
  • Assist Outside Sales Team.
  • Account Management for existing customer base.
  • Identify and resolve customer problems and/or needs.
  • Answer customer inquiries regarding new/existing contracts.
  • Answer customer inquiries regarding equipment rates and delivery tracking.
  • Filing, data entry, and retrieval of documents
  • Ability to drive sales and increase of revenue for branch growth
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Counter

  • Process cash, check, and credit card transactions
  • Verification of identity of check and credit card customers
  • Accurately open/close rental contracts
  • Maintain logs of available and down equipment
  • Credit Memos/Discounts
  • Maintain call in phone logs and lost and/or stolen rental logs
  • Coordinate pick-up and delivery of equipment
  • Rates and all ancillary charges
  • Filing, data entry, and retrieval of documents
  • Work effectively with Sales department
  • Perform other duties as assigned
